Due to the Canada Post strike, unfortunately our Interlibrary Loan service is suspended until further notice.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please keep track of any requests you may have and try again once the strike is resolved. We will notify everyone once the service has been reinstated.
Thank you for your understanding.
North Grenville Public Library is part of the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Network for Ontario public libraries, allowing patrons access to the collections of over 220 public libraries in Ontario, public and academic libraries across the country, the Ontario Archives and the Library and Archives Canada.
Requesting an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If we do not have a book, DVD or other material which you are looking for, you can request it on Interlibrary Loan (ILL):
- In person at the library
- By phone at 613-258-4711
- By email at interloan@ngpl.ca
- By completing the request form below
If you have any questions, please contact the Interlibrary Loan Department, by phone at 613-258-4711 or by email at interloan@ngpl.ca.
Please note:
- Most libraries will not lend materials that have been published in the last 6 to 12 months. In addition, a number of libraries will not lend DVDs.
- Materials that are only available at university libraries, out of province requests, and microfilm need to be ordered by staff.
Renew or Cancel your ILL
To renew your request, please phone or email several days before the due date. Please note that not all materials are eligible for renewal.
To cancel your ILL request, please phone or email as soon as possible so that expenses are not incurred for unwanted materials.
Returning your ILL
While the Library is fine free there still will be fees associated with lost or damaged materials. The cost of lost or damaged materials is determined by the lending library.
