Writers Circle Workshop Series

Date: October 1, 15, 22, 29   7-9pm

This free workshop series, run by Pamela Welling, October will prepare us for Novembers National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO).  Guest speakers will inform on various aspects of craft and the business of writing.  Specific focus will be on presenting outlining techniques with the goal that “planners” complete our outlines prior to November.   “Pantsers” in the group, ie those that do not want to write an outline, will benefit from participant feedback on their work.  For those that have already started a novel project, this will be an opportunity to polish your work.

This free workshop series, run by Pamela Welling, celebrates National Novel Writing Month.  Guest Speakers will inform on various aspects of craft and the business of writing.  Participants will have an opportunity to share story ideas and solicit feedback and advice from others.  This series will include time for writing.  Laptops are recommended. 

Board Game Nights

Date: Mondays at 6 p.m.  Starting September 6th they will meet every Thursday at 6 p.m.
Registration: Not required

NGPL’s  board game night presented  by  Meeples to Go.

Gaming happens from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Feel free to bring your own game, or try one from Meeples to GO!

This is open to people of all ages and is absolutely free!
We ask that people under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.

Outside food and drink is allowed.


Quilting Club- The Scrappy Bits

Date: First Tuesday of each month, 1-3pm
Registration: Not required

Bring your projects and join a group of fellow quilters for an afternoon of stitching, cutting and swap tips and ideas.
Beginner to expert, whatever your project there’s room to spread out and work!

Science and Technology Group

Date: 1st Wednesday of the month, 7-9pm
Registration: Not Required

The advancement of science and technology in the last 200 years has proceeded at a breathtaking pace, affecting everything in our lives.
This group is meant to provide an informal setting for people to come together & discuss science, its applications and its future.sci_1
Group members will decide the direction meetings take so bring your ideas!

  • Some interesting news about A.I.
  • Vacuum energy and Casimir plates.

 Library Book Club

Date: 3rd Wednesday of the month, 7 pm-8:30 pm
Registration: Not Required
Join others for lively, interesting and fun book discussions!
Copies are available at the Front Desk.  All welcome.

The Youngsters of Yore meet every Thursday afternoon at the Library. This group is run by some of our Friends of the Library volunteers. Each week there is a guest speaker and refreshments are served.

Knit ‘n Natter and Afternoon Knitters

Date: Every Tuesday from 7-8.30 pm and Wednesday from 1-3 pm | Ongoing
Registration: Not Required

Beginners or experienced knitters can share ideas and patterns. Everyone welcome!

Kemptville Area Modelers Club
