Walking Poles
In conjunction with the Municipality of North Grenville, we are pleased to offer Nordic Walking Poles for loan! Just use your NGPL card to borrow walking poles for a 3-week period. Watch the instructional video created by St. Michael’s High School on using the walking poles.

MAPSacks
A MAPSack is a backpack containing stories, nature guides, activity sheets, a logbook and a free family pass to enjoy the Rideau Valley Conservation Areas.
MAPSacks is a joint library project created by the Leeds-Grenville Stewardship Council and Rideau Lakes Public Library as part of the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Healthy Communities Partnership. The MAPSacks are a rotating collection among the Libraries of Leeds & Grenville so watch for other sacks!
Disc Golf Sets
We have disc golf sets available for loan with your library card! Borrow a kit and then make your way over to the awesome disc golf course at Ferguson Forest!
A beautiful full 18 basket course with longs and shorts set on over 22 acres. Wide open bombs, tight wooded tunnels, doglegs, gentle elevation changes, obstacles, and elevated baskets. This course has it all. Full signage and coloured tee blocks. Check out the Kemptville Disc Golf Club Facebook page for league information and events!
Tackleshare
NGPL is an official loaner site for the OFAH/OPG TackleShare Program! We have fishing rods and tackle boxes available for loan. Check them out just like a book!

Geocaching Kits
Geocaching kits are available for one week loan! Your kit includes a GPS unit, a quick start guide and an explorer guide to geocaching.
Special thanks to the Municipality of North Grenville for providing our GPS kits as a result of a grant from The Healthy Kids Community Challenge Leeds and Grenville Community funded by the Government of Ontario.
ParticipACTION Outdoor & Sports Equipment
Thanks to the 2022 ParticipACTION prize money, the Library has been able to purchase Bocce ball sets, pickleball sets, tennis rackets and balls, KanJam kits and even a metal detector. In winter we have snowshoes available as well!
The Municipality of North Grenville has won the ParticipACTION Community Challenge three years in a row, earning significant prize money each year. The prize money is used to establish more outdoor recreational opportunities in North Grenville.
