Sam’s Annual Fishing Derby
Sam’s Fishing Derby is an annual event that happens at the end of June, where children of all ages gather at Salamander’s dock for a catch and release fishing derby. Participants bring their fishing rods and we supply the worms! The event is followed by a free BBQ on the NGPL patio, hosted by the family of Sam Tobias and the North Grenville Public Library. In exchange for a burger, participants contribute what they can to Sam’s Children’s Book Collection at the library, in honour Sam and his love of books and fishing.
Please see our support the library page for details on how you can contribute and help to grow this wonderful collection of books!
