Burritts Rapids Closure
Due to growing concerns about building condition and suitability for use of the Bridgemaster’s House, the Board of the North Grenville Public Library decided to close the Burritts Rapids Branch, effective January 1, 2025.
The Library recognizes the importance of continued library service in Burritts Rapids and is therefore pleased to have reached an agreement with the Boathouse Café to offer weekly services. A weekly pop up library will take place at the café’s location at 646 River Road, on Wednesdays from 2-4pm, starting January 8, 2025. This will be a temporary measure while we explore options for a long-term solution.
We are grateful for the support from Marianne McLeish and the Boathouse Café for enabling us to continue to serve the community.
